'49-54 Disc Brakes Conversion W/OUT Kit?
Have done lots of searching, as always. A kit is obviously easy but it seems over priced.
Does anyone have something like a parts list to do a conversion? I'm thinking of looking for a 70's Chevelle/Monte Carlo for the rotors, calipers (for at least the cores), valves, etc. But what is everything I need for power brakes? I thought better to ask than to miss something. At the very least what rotors from what donor fit the stock spindles? |

Speedway sells the kit pretty cheap.

This. Figured it out before I read your post.
For everyone else on the web searching this, here's the brackets you need: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Basic-...ckup,7688.html The full kit is only 150 more but it's all Asian junk, no doubt. Source everything else from a 70 to 77 Camaro or GM equivalent (Chevelle, etc). Since I'm doing this for myself, too, as notes for my build, here's a list of all Chevy equivalents per O'Reilly.
