blazer tail light patch panel
Does anybody make a blazer rear tail light repair panel or is this something I'll have to find it used somehow? I found a badly dented area on the right rear of my '72 that had been filled with filler. Id like to repair it right but haven't seen this repair panel. I may have to resort to a blazer bedside as a last resort as I need to repair the front tip in front of the wheel as well.

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
There is no repop tail light patch panel for our trucks, only for the Suburban. You could buy an entire Blazer quarter panel, or you could just fiind a donor pickup bed and cut out the patches you need and save a boat load of money. That's what I did and it worked great.

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
Do you have any pics of that particular repair and of the cut panel before you welded it in? Thanks

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
What I did was found someone on the boards parting out a pickup truck and then just had them section off the last foot or 2 for me to use for repairs (mine had a little more than just tail light damage)

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
Looks like Ill post an add. I'd still like to see any pics of that repair though. It stinks because the rear bedside is rust free in the rear unlike most around hear. I just have a very wavy tail light area where someone backed into something.

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
Here is a pic of my repair to the drivers side tail light area. I also used the same donor bed for the top of the wheel arch.

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
Thanks for the pics. I just placed a wtb ad for this part. Ive seen them on the board in the past but didn't know I needed them until recently. I would possibly buy a blazer bedside but they only sell them as pairs and shipping would be a killer.

Re: blazer tail light patch panel
briank I just replaced the quarter panels on my 72 Jimmy I will dig out the old quarter panels and I think the tail-light area is still good shape. If you are interested I could cut out the taillight area. Tomorrow I will check them out, if good enough I will cut down and leave about 4 or 6 inches to work with.
