pressure plate and disc

Hi everybody i own a 1947 gm truck advance design series and i am ordering clutch parts i measured my pressure plate to 10 3/4 inch so would that mean i need a 10 3/4 inch clutch disc i measured from the outside to outside of the center portion of the clutch disc contact surface

That number doesn't ring true from memory. The pressure plate will usually cover the disc by a little on each side, in this case 1/8 inch. Measure the disc and I'll bet it's 10 1/2. At any rate, the choices will be far enough apart, usually, between standard and heavy duty, three speed and 4 speed, etc. that you will know it when you see it. If memory serves me correct, but it rarely does these days, 11 inch was the heavy duty unit...BUT sometimes both the 10 1/2 and 11 inch would fit the same flywheel with the correct pressure plate. Worth checking in to as long as you're buying.

If you have the disk do as Speedbue and measure it or you should be able to measure the diameter of the surface the disk contacted on the pressure plate. You should be able to see the wear circle on the pressure plate face
I'm thinking you are going to find that it is a 10-1/2 inch clutch though.
