DBW to Cable
Ok so I might have rushed into this one. The engine is an lq4 off an 05 H2. I picked up a throttle body off an ls1 camaro. I thought this was a bolt on affair. Does that tube pivot or am I going to snap it if I try rotating it?

Re: DBW to Cable
The easiest way to fix this is to get a throttle body off a van from '03-'07 or so, since they use that intake and are DBC. If that's not an option, you can take the fitting out of the throttle body and plug it, you only need one fitting and the one in the intake is harder to plug. I tapped the hole and put a plug in mine.

Re: DBW to Cable
I ended up breaking the manifold fitting while trying to remove it with a pliers, so I simply stuck some RTV on a bolt and threaded it in to plug the manifold hole.

Re: DBW to Cable
the tube on the throttle body should be able to pivot around.

Re: DBW to Cable
Yea. It's a steel tube pressed into an aluminum casting. It will rotate. I'd stick a phillips screwdriver in it, and give it a twist. I've done it successfully in the past.

Re: DBW to Cable
Yes, it will pivot around with a little effort, but you're still going to have to plug it, and it looks dumb with two fittings there. That's why I took mine out and plugged the hole.
