upper control arm question

I have a 1996 C1500, 1/2 ton, short bed, single cab and I have seen some people install upper control arms from other trucks (on the net of course) that look like tubular but stock, can anyone tell me if I can put these control arms on my truck? I am looking to rebuild the suspension and I think this would be an decent upgrade to consider since they are only $63 each with ball joints and bushings on ebay...

Re: upper contro arm question

3/4 and 1 ton 2wd 88-98 control arms will work with a little modification. You can either weld up two holes and redrill to use a 1/2 ton balljoint or redrill your spindle to use the bigger 3/4&1 ton balljoint. I have put them on my 97 ecsb and it was fairly straight forward swap. It also netted a little more caster than stock. Mine has about 5*
