New wiring from Classic POA??
Im ready to buy new wiring. Has anyone bought the repro wiring from Classic Parts of America (classic parts.com) formerly Chevy Duty? I have considered getting a universal wiring kit, but I'm not an electrician, and i don't plan on adding any upgrades. The truck is going to stay all original. Im sure i could install a kit like that but don't want to take the time for that.

I haveonly used the two rear harnesses for the tail lights from them. They are really good quality and fit perfect. I plan on getting the rest of them in the future.

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
Do you know what brand they sell ? I can speak from much experience with American Autowire . http://www.americanautowire.com/ They made me a complete new harness bumper to bumper for my 1960 K10 Suburban and built me a Chevy engine conversion harness for my 1965 GMC with HEI and 100amp alternator with 454. All was plug and play. They have all the original GM blue prints from Packard who made many of the parts and harnesses for GM.

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
I've used their harnesses and haven't had any problems. Everything fit like the factory from what i could tell. I'd use them again.

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
I just put an american autowire turn signal switch in my truck. It is made with GM Tooling and is very tight. Seems to be nice quality and is still working.

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
I just priced out the individual made harnesses for CPOA and its $600. I see the kit Classic Update Series 52-083 is $524, I'm guessing you have to assemble this kit. I just want plug and play. I also see the same kit on ebay for $466. Still on the fence now...

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
You could go with a wiring kit from Painless....I don't know if they make OEM or universal for the 60-66 chevy trucks. I do know they make universal but not sure on OEM. Good luck and hope you find something suitable to your needs.

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
Back when I was using CPOA I purchased most of my harness's from them. About 90% satisfied with them. They had the fuel and turn signals wired wrong....took an hour or so to figure out the issue and correct it. Also had issues with getting the factory cluster plug to fit the repop main harness. I ended up buying a new cluster harness to fix the issue. But other than that I didn't have any issues. The rest was plug, route and play.

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
I just put a universal harness in my 65.. I would go with one that is a ready plug in. By the time you are done the time is worth it. Here are some that are easy.
Stock with gauges. http://www.americanautowire.com/shop/dash-harness-21611 Stock with warning lights. http://www.americanautowire.com/shop/dash-harness-21610 , These two are just under dash. This one is a whole truck. http://www.americanautowire.com/view...evrolet-truck/ just a few out of millions...

Re: New wiring from Classic POA??
Ok that whole kit looks like some of the termination has already been done. Which would be good. I understand that some of it will need some ends tho
