'58 Chevy Apache Clutch Fork??
Hello, I'm new to the message boards. I'm in need of a "Clutch Fork" for my 3-speed, 6 cylinder Chevy Apache Stepside. My mechanic can't find it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bryan |

Re: '58 Chevy Apache Clutch Fork??
You can probably find that here on the forum as most people here are ditching the straight shift trannys, but just in case, my 57 truck has a later model three speed tranny and the clutch fork is also from a later model. It is slightly different from a 55-59 part but works fine with the original linkage. It was in the truck when I got it so I don't know exactly what it came out of but just want to let you know that you are not limited to a 55-59 part. Might take a look at your local pull-a-part at later model trucks if no one here has one.

Problem solved! A kind member of the community tracked one down for me. Thanks for your advice, Russell. And thanks to David.
