carbed 4.3 or 305 5 speed with hydro clutch swap
Hi I have A 1964 CHEVY swb. It was three on the tree was a
230 or 250. I was wondering how hard this would be? I want to keep manual brakes for now but use a hydrolic clutch. What motor would be best for a daily drive. I am building with up a 2000 dollar bugget. Any help or opinions would be great thanks |

Why the hydraulic clutch? That will be a large chunk of the budget unless you already have the set up and if so, that would determine what trans you will be using.
Both the 4.3 and 305 are good platforms to build from. I think the V8 would bring more money and attention to a buyer if you sold it.

Did they make a 4 speed or 5 speed without a hydro clutch. It was really a choose with a 5 speed without one and can't find a two drive 4 speed
