Rust repair Drip rail removal question?
I'm working on my 81 blazer and it has rust that needs to be repaired in the roof and b pillar. Has anyone removed the drip rail from a blazer? It appears that if I remove the drip rail I can gain access to what I need to repair.

You can cut them off. There's a few guys here that have but I can't think of a name offhand. I'll search and see what I can find if someone doesn't chime in.

Re: Rust repair Drip rail removal question?
I believe the drip rail is spot welded on, like everything.
This guy is a bit nutty, but I have learned a TON about bodywork from "my friend Pete". Start at about 3:30 of this video. He's slow going but you'll know what you are in for. |
