Re: 63-66 one piece windows

I have seen it done on a 64-66 but it was a lot of cutting to get the power unit in...I think it would be cool to keep the crank unit stock and add one piece glass...

Best picture I have of a 1 piece window and the number one reason why I'm considering it.

Re: 63-66 one piece windows

I looked into it, but there is no bolt in kit. It takes a lot of cutting and measuring twice to get those in. I agree, it is cool! But if it were easy everybody would have them. I stayed with the crank and just replaced everything including the glass.

Re: 63-66 one piece windows

I installed a set in my truck, took about 40 hours per door, no kidding. There is cutting and welding involved, and a whole lot of fitting and adjusting, but I like the look and have always hated those vent windows. I got my kit from No Limit and their instructions are pretty vague. I made up a list of tips and things that worked for me. Send me your email and I will forward it to you if you like. I also found some switches, from A1 I think, that use the stock window crank handle so it looks stock, just push the handle up or down to get the window up or down, and it springs back to center.

Re: 63-66 one piece windows

I was told that it would cost me $1000.00 per door to have it done.

It looks SICK! In a good way.

Cool Re: 63-66 one piece windows

I would like to get a hold on a set if someone has some for sale or knows the name of the company that carries them. I checked a few and nobody had them for a 66 according to the adds online.
