Let's See Your Beaters!
Title says it all! We all love these squares when they're clean, restored, freshly painted, etc. But the fact is that not al of our squares are that way. Not even kind of. This thread is for "the other guys", the beaters, the rust buckets, the yard trucks. Go!
Here's mine:

Re: Let's See Your Beaters!
she gets driven hard and put away wet. allot of broken parts have been replace. but she gets her love. just rebuilt the engine and did all the bushings in the front. she drags headers through logging roads and sand dunes. also hauls my junk around.

Re: Let's See Your Beaters!
Here's a truck that has been beat all it's life: FRANKENTRUCK.
Reconstructed from a '73 one ton flatbed and a '78 P/U, with lots of custom, new, and rebuilt parts. The independent control of the front and rear axle can be locked into front wheel drive, in addition to RWD, and std four wheel drive. The 350 V8 I built for it approaches 350 HP, and the four, 6x9 speaker, Kenwood stereo has a front panel USB for iPod. FRANKENTRUCK has been painted primer gray for now. It will be it's original factory green eventually. Perfect for a FRANKENTRUCK. It's a great vehicle now! Todd.

Re: Let's See Your Beaters!
Here are all four of my beaters. the burb has 315.000 on it now, was repainted in 2000 with base/clear and the clear is peeling now like an old sunburn. Drug home the blazer 2 years ago, replaced the locked up motor and tired trans with new ones and my last two boys are driving it to school daily. The 2 door pickup was the neighbors feed truck for their beef cows, had 6 inches of hay, straw, and crap on every horizontal surface plus the cows liked to rub all over it and the doors and front fenders paid the price. The crew cab is in the middle of a cummins/allison/4x4 makeover, will retain the "patina" on the outside for awhile after I get it on the road. They are my babies and I enjoy driving/working on them.

Re: Let's See Your Beaters!
I never "beat" on any of my vehicles but here's a picture that makes it look like I do!
Please excuse the mismatched rims in the second picture. I got the fronts for free and was waiting on the rears to be delivered.

I love this truck! Just on this side of clapped out, but still rocking on without missing a beat. Perfecto! None of that fake patina'd poser bull****.

Re: Let's See Your Beaters!
Mine are mostly beaters. They are banged up and/or rusty (one is REALLY rusty), but I love them.
