Re: How to disconnect oil pressure gauge
Isn't that cable the oil line? They usually unscrew from the back of the gauge.

Re: How to disconnect oil pressure gauge
Next to impossible to do that for me, so I disconnected from the engine and just pulled it through the hole in the firewall while it was still attached to the gauge. It will drip a little oil, so just wipe it up after disconnecting from the engine prior to pulling in through the firewall.

Re: How to disconnect oil pressure gauge
The "easiest" is to crimp it off and then replace when you put it back in. I always have problems with that and the speedo cable.

Re: How to disconnect oil pressure gauge
leave some slack on the line when you reinstall, and you can pull the cluster w/the line attached and unhook it once the clusters got more clearance.

Re: How to disconnect oil pressure gauge
On my 65 outside at the firewall was a inline connecter. I unbolted the line at that point and I was able to removed the cluster...I had to gently feed the line thru the hole in the firewall.
