6 lug wheel question
Would anyone be so kind as to fill me in on what wheels will fit a 65.
Im wanting to get the steel paintable wheels please. I have a set on there now that take tubes. Also they are a little skinny. Will any other model wheels fit the 6 lug without some crazy offset? I seen a few bagged trucks with what im looking for. I just dont want to bother messaging them unless I absolutly have to. The main one is Lacys truck? I think thats right. It is a patina blue short box on what looks to be stockers with hub caps. Thank you

Re: 6 lug wheel question
Try going to the Wheel Vintiques or Wheel Smith websites they should have what you need unless you are looking for something used. There is also a vender thread on this sight that should give you a list of other companies.

Re: 6 lug wheel question
Try to find some 15 x 8's, sometimes they pop up in the classifieds

Re: 6 lug wheel question
I run the 71 and up 1/2 ton 2x ( up to 73) and 4x 6 lug wheels on mine. They clear disc's when you go that direction.

Re: 6 lug wheel question
The '73-'87 K10 pickups generally came with 6 lug steelies.

Re: 6 lug wheel question
I picked up a set of 16" steelies from an early 90's GM truck application. The centerbores were too small, but being a steel wheel, a few minutes with the grinder fixed that little problem. I like the aged look of these old wheels in that they complement the condition of my truck, and they were $75 with decent tires. IMO, it is worth a search of Craigslist to see what's available in your area.

Re: 6 lug wheel question
Something wrong with stock steelies? Mine are stock steelies with 70's hubcaps. Modern 235/75R15 radials mounted to them.
