Rust Repair Help for people in wisconsin
Im 18 and i recently bought a 83 k10 with little rust. I need to repair a floor board and a few spots of rust on the cab where the drivers door closes on, and then a spot on the fire wall. I was wondering, does anyone know any locals or buisnesses near or in Waukesha, WI that would help me repair this. I can weld but i have never repaired rust. I need a welder yet, so not like this is a right now kinda deal. Im open to having someone fix it for me for the right price, but i really want to learn myself.

Welcome to the board. I don't know anyone in your area to help. If you can weld sheet metal without warping it the rust repair end of it should be relatively easy. It can be time consuming though

I can't help you, but just a thought - make sure you check out that truck all over, especially inside the frame channels, A arms, etc. to make sure that you have the full extent of the rust identified - assuming that you have not done that already. You don't want to fix the sheet metal rust only to find out that you have more serious rust that you have overlooked. Rust can hide in some unseen areas and cause a lot of trouble.

Run it until it crumbles into the highway and then drop a fresh cab on. Take a close look, you might be in for surprises. It happened to me.
