Delmo's offset rear bumper

Was hoping Mr Delmo or some of his close friends could chime in on this one. Planning on doing the same to a rear bumper I just bought as he did to a 60-66 rear bumper, but I can't find any pics or info on it. The one where the plate was, I believe, moved towards the passenger side (I may move it to the drivers side, so I'm not COMPLETELY mimicking your work) . Just have 2 questions;

1. Were you still able to use all 4 mounting points?
2. Were you able to use the rock guards on top as well?

I promise I used the search function, but nothing came up relating to what I was looking for.

No, figured id start a thread in case anyone else wanted to see it further down the road. Then I could post pics of how mine came out when finished.

Re: Delmo's offset rear bumper

Just from looking I think you would need to fab up a new bracket because the plate cutout is right in front of the frame rail, Hard to tell for sure tho I cant even see any bumper bolts!
Nice clean custom work Delmo.

Have a good weekend

Re: Delmo's offset rear bumper

Looking at the angles on the sides of the bumper (passenger side at least), I'm thinking mine might look better flipped. I'll have to play with it once all the work is done.

Yea, good thing I don't ever plan on towing with it. This will be my daily dragger. If I ever need to tow something, I can grab my dads dodge.

Re: Delmo's offset rear bumper

Little update, bumper was slightly twisted, so the plate section was cut out and moved to the drivers side. Bumper will be installed flipped, so plate wil be on the passenger side when installed.

I do not think one could use the rock guards on top because her pulled the bumper in much closer than stock (one of those Chip Foose tricks) It does look cool.......Kieth

Yes, I'm in Houston. Unfortunately, that's not my garage. Chaotic Customs out of Conroe is doing the work for me.

Re: Delmo's offset rear bumper

Looks like your tag opening it's slightly closer to the end of the bumper, looks like it will line up great with your tailgate gap. Nice work, welders rock!
