Best deal on front lowering spindles

So far the best i can find is at summit racing $229.00 and free shipping
Part cpp-cp-4s3
2.5 in lowering correct?
But my question is cp4s3 the old style or new that moves in 3/4" to allow for wider tires? i want to keep my 255/60/15 on the front.
I also want to stay 6 lug front disk and the best deal is $89.00 part #03-6370-6l at ECE or CPP.
Any better deals out there?

Re: Best deal on front lowering spindles

I don't think it's ever been proven how much the CPP Modular spindles move the wheels in.
Never could get an answer to this question when CPP had a Vendor on here.

Plus,... moved in compared to what?
1) drum brakes?
2) stock disc brakes? (which we know are 3/4" wider than drum brakes)
3) other manufacturer's drop spindles?

Just saying,... don't count on the 3/4" measurement you mentioned in your post.

I just put a set on my 67, they moved my wheels in 1 1/8 inches per side from regular drop spindles. My track width went from 77 inches (outside of tire to outside of tire) to 74 3/4. CPP says they are 2 inch drop spindle it is close to 2 1/2 drop in reality.

Re: Best deal on front lowering spindles

If I'm not mistaken, the "newer" style CPP modular spindles are only 2" drop and also require a bracket not included with the spindle depending on which brake caliper you chose.

Re: Best deal on front lowering spindles

These are a new version that is supposed to be 2 1/2" drop. They don't look like the modular ones I've had that required a separate bracket...these look to fit factory calipers like the mcgaughy spindles I had... Says on the ad it

"will not move the wheels out 3/4 of an inch per side like the factory disc kits do"

The ones I linked use 73-87 ball joints/tie rods which I usually recommend as they are easier to source and generally cheaper.
