Tot-Rod C10 model or body. Is there one out there.

Insomnia and Influenza SUCKS.

Been awake most of the night getting some 30 minute mini sleeps in.

However. All is not lost.

Usually my creative juices start to flow when I cannot sleep.

Been wondering if there exists a 1960-66 C10 shaped Tot-Rod sized glassfibre body or moulds to make one in the USA ???

If I cannot find one then plan B would be scratch building one.

I have a 10hp Briggs n Stratton motor coming soon.

Thanks in advance for any pics, input or guidance.

I am just about to head off to work.

But here is a link to a complete build.

Or this one......

And lastly.

These were produced in the UK and were fully road legal.

Re: Tot-Rod C10 model or body. Is there one out there.

I had a subaru brat bodied one when I was 15. I had a friend whos family was pretty well off and his grandfather gave it to him on a birthday. with the body on it trundled around at 5-6mph so it was boring and sat in the shed. I uncovered it one day when were were making funny videos with his camcorder setup and promptly offered him 50 bucks. he said ok and we shook on it. I figured his dad would kibosh the deal but he was the lesson kind of father like cosby and taught his son to go through with handshake deals so they brought it over and I paid 50 bucks, all I had. we rolled the body off and my brother and I drove like madmen at 15mph all over hell and creation. good memories!

Re: Tot-Rod C10 model or body. Is there one out there.

Went out scavenging this past weekend for bits for the petrol pump build.

Saw this deep in a yard.

Interesting.

This is the scrap pile for a housing agency....

Popped in on the way home and was offered the whole thing for a £30.00 donation to a local charity vs it going for scrap.

It has a good steering set up and a decent chassis.
However the rear wheels are independently driven by motors.

This may just be the foundation for an adult sized "Tot-Rod"

Whatcha think ???

Just found a couple of pics of the motor and drivetrain I have been offered for the collecting about 100 miles from here.

Thiis was a project started by a group of guys early in 2011 and would have been awesome if life did not get in the way.

So there you have the basics of what may be the start of a next project once some of the other current ones have been completed.
