starter bolts?
i got a starter with my 2004 5.3 but no bolts.....does anyone know the part number of the bolts? i tried calling the dealership but they wanted the last 8 numbers of my vin...haha...i gave them my 84 k10's but they won't help me without the vin and they wanted 28 bucks a piece for them....our junkyards here don't have a lot of newer stuff...

My buddy just drove to our local mall and drove around the parking lot till he saw an 03-05 Silverado 2wd and walked up and wrote down the VIN to give to the dealership...

not a bad idea...pretty funny, but the deanship wanted 28 bucks a bolt!!! I'm way good....ill order one or buy one from a junkyard...hopefully

The F-Bodies used two different length bolts, but both bolts are the same length on all the truck engines that I've ever seen. The difference is in the starter (not the block). So, just to double check, if both of the "ears" on the starter where the bolts go through are the same depth, you'll need two 115 mm bolts.

Check your starter. Older trucks (99-00ish) used two different sizes of bolts. You could have been given an older starter.

Thats a great price with killer shipping. They would still cost $20, I found some on ebay nooks and tranny I think.
