Roll Bar

I am looking at having a roll bar built for my Blazer. I am wondering how accurate these drawings are? Has anyone ever used them? I got the drawing off of this site. I believe they duplicate the Hickey roll bar.

Re: Roll Bar

Wish it was still that cheap. That looks pretty close to what needs to be made for roll bar. Wish the had a pic of the heavy duty roll bar. Looks like it just adds A stringer to the rear hatch area for passenger safety in the rear seat.

Re: Roll Bar

My Hickey roll bar is more like 61" on center between the front uprights and 55" rear, about 64.5" maximum outer distance at the front flanges, and the vertical pipe angles off more at 19.5"...at least I believe mine is a Hickey

Re: Roll Bar

The guy that made these drawings (orange72blazer) spent some time doing them. I think they look professional and the measurements are detailed down to the thousands of a inch. I got a quote of $250 - $300 to fabricate one maybe less if I have him fabricate two or more. He will give me the final quote on Monday.

Re: Roll Bar

Edited my post above - price sounds right. The measures above are close but don't quite jive with my bar though. As is, when mine is installed a portion of the flanges will likely have to tuck under the side panels (it's a CST).

Re: Roll Bar

Wish I could find a place around here (Raleigh, NC) to do one for that price. Went to a couple shops with that diagram and a bunch a photos. Best price I got was ~$500 but that was painted and installed. They were pretty insistent on me bringing it in with the roof on so they could do their own measurements, etc.

Hope it works out for you.

Did you check the measurements on your own first?
