Bouncy rear suspension
I put 2" rear lowering blocks on my 66 long bed. Same coil springs, new shocks, but now the rear is very bouncy. It almost creates a harmonic vibration at highway speed. Not sure if the stock shocks are out of their "sweet spot" to operate properly or if I have have a pinion angle problem (I wouldn't think so with only 2"drop). Anyone else experience this with there truck?

Re: Bouncy rear suspension
If you have an old u joint in there, it might be worn a certain way. Maybe you upset that. Just a thought.

Re: Bouncy rear suspension
Well..since my truck is completely stock 48 year old suspension I do experience some bounciness and some swaying only cause its ancient. lol My problem is worn coils and terrible shocks.

Re: Bouncy rear suspension
The lowering shocks are to work with the shorter springs. With just the blocks put you stock shocks back on. Shocks control the ride if the springs are the same and the ride changes the shocks are the reason.

Re: Bouncy rear suspension
I agree on the shocks. I'm going to work on that and if I can't improve the ride. Thanks for the replies!
