rear drop ride issues

So I had a few days off from work and good weather so I decided to lower the rear of my truck 66 lwb fleetside using 3" drop springs (cpp) shock re locators (cpp) and drop shocks 5"(cpp) and 2" blocks(unsure of maker) adjustable trac bar(lmc) and well now it's like on my old rigid with almost a constant bounce to the ride. So I this is probably where you're saying he's never done this before and you're right I'm guessing that I need a taller shock seeing how I went 3" down with a spring a 2" down with blocks the shocks I got are to short thus causing the ride to feel this way.....Am I right? Thats the main question I have or is it something else cause CPP sells the drop shock in 2 different sizes and I'm assuming that I needed the taller of the two seeing im not using 5" drop springs

It looks like your shock relocators are backwards. They bolt on faacing rearward which stands the shocks almost vertical. When they are laid down ( using the relocators forward) it will bounce your eyeballs around. Swap them around and reverse them then report back.

new fisher he has the shock re locators from cpp on the right way i was over there helping the other night install them but wasnt there to help him finish it heres the link to cpp shock re locators that you can see they are on the right way:

there is another shock re locator kit that faces rearward sold by somebody else the one you most likely are thinking about

Even tho you lowered the rear a total of 5" with 3" springs and 2" blocks you in reality only changed the shock mounting points by 3" with the 3" lowered springs because by using blocks your just raising the rearend up from its original location another 2" which doesn't affect the shock mounting points, so if you are putting 5" lowering shocks on with only 3" lowered springs the shocks wont be working right and most likely the bounce in the ride is from riding on just springs...i would suggest calling CPP tech line and see what shocks they suggest with the setup you have since the upper and lower shock relocation brackets also have made a difference in the shock mounting point from stock, they should be able to tell you which one you need , i would bet that you need the CPP-4095G shocks for 2"-4" lowering

Shock relocators are on correctly.
Remove the rear bump stop rubbers and brackets and install a c-notch.
Lowering blocks don't add to the spring height when calculating drop shock heights.

Going by the one pic it looks like it is hitting the bump stops. I agree with Keith on what to try next. Bump stops can be gone quick to give it a test to see how it does.

1st let me just say thanks to everyone whose taken the time to chime in I think im gonna start with ordering new shocks and cutting down the bump stops and see where that gets me.....according to my wallet the notch kit is gonna have to wait a little while maybe a project for june I'll post back with an update when I get the new shocks on.

5 1/2" 1/4 wall pipe cut in half makes a great, cheap C notch.
