Floor mats..

Anybody using the floor mats made by Husky Liner.

I guess Weather Tech doesn't make the full liner with the lip but Husky does.
The pic Husky has their website doesn't look right for a square.

These are the ones I am looking at on Husky's site

Re: Floor mats..

I have a set in my 76. They fit pretty decent, no quite 100% but that may be do to someone fixing my floors without pre fabbed pans. I had to cut the hole for the dimmer switch also.

Re: Floor mats..

I have used Husky Liners in most of my vehicles, and I have them in my 83 C20. I like them a lot, but you do have to cut out a hole for the dimmer switch on the floor. Weathertech has nice liners also, but, as you say, maybe not for a square. Do not get Husky floor mats - not better than other mats and they wear out just like other mats. I have had Husky liners in the square for over 10 years and they are not showing any wear.

One downside, it is easy to catch your foot on the upturned edge of the Huskyliners when getting in or out of the truck. You need to get used to pickup up your feet a little instead of just sliding your foot on the floor upon entry/exit - but this becomes second nature soon enough.

Since my windshield appears to be leaking again, an added benefit is that the Huskyliners trap all of the water in puddles and the water does not go all over the truck floor. These should have been standard equipment on squares, since all 3 I have owned leaked at some point in time.

I put cheap Walmart exercise mat (black) over the hump and on the exposed floor by the doors and that covers everything good enough for me.

I would take some pics but the truck has not yet had its annual wash so it looks embarrassing.

Re: Floor mats..

Here is a link to an earlier thread showing my huskyliners and Walmart exercise mat "mods." Plus, Keith's rubber floor - I would go with Keith's rubber floor (with good padding/sound damper underneath) and Huskyliners on top.

Thanks.

I already put in a new carpet from ACC.
But I want to protect it with some floormats

Re: Floor mats..

I put in new carpet also, but I wanted to protect all of the carpet - hence, the Walmart mat over the hump and by the doors. If you don't have a stick or 4WD I would try to get a full one piece liner that covers the hump - I know I had one in one of my trucks - maybe a newer model.

Re: Floor mats..

I did new carpet kit and then the husky liners. Best of both worlds IMOP. Weathertechs are nicer but not offered for the squares so husky is the best available option. Eventually husky probably won't offer them anymore. We better stock up.

Re: Floor mats..

It's funny but I just recently put the Husky Liners in my truck. I have pictures in my build thread. The link is in my signature and the pictures are on the last page of the thread. I also shot some video of the mats.

Re: Floor mats..

Thanks! Glad you like it. One other thing: I've only driven with these a handful of times but so far I don't think I will have to cut a hole for the dimmer switch. You can still use it easily with the mat covering the switch.
