How did you mount your 2-way brake switch?

I didn't realize there is a LSx swap forum so I already posted this.

Want to see how others have mounted the 2-way switch on trucks with a through the floor brake pedal. Thanks.

Re: How did you mount your 2-way brake switch?

That brake switch won't live long under the cab, since it's not designed to get wet. It will work for a while, but why do that if you already have the lever style switch? Just use the lever switch (which I'm assuming is similar to a 48-53 chevy truck brake switch? That's what I have on my car) and run a relay off of it. Hook the #85 to the side of the brake switch that's hot when the brakes are applied, and hook #86 to ground. Then hook your ignition power to #87a and the other side, #30 will go to the TCC wire in the PCM. Then you'll have power to the TCC and when you step on the brakes, the relay will be energized and open the circuit and will function exactly like the 4 prong switch.

Does the plunger-style switch not have a place to fit on your truck? I've never seen those mechanical ones used, except in a couple old hotrods for a 700r4.
