Re: Coolant question??

I run Dexcool in my Swap & Duramax with no problems, I would run whatever coolant your running in the F-body (Factory Dexcool).

Re: Coolant question??

Really you can run whatever you want if your starting out with a clean and empty block and radiator. The biggest thing is DONT mix types of coolant. They will do very nasty things when mixed. The early dex cool was a problem. Current dex cool works fine. Most vehicles are now using orange coolant of some sort because the newer coolants last a lot longer and are less corrosive to the cooling system. I generally run green because its cheaper but I tear stuff apart often enough that the coolant stays fresh. If your planning to add coolant and forget about it for a long while use dexcool.

Thumbs up Re: Coolant question??

I'm running the orange stuff now since I have the 6.0 LQ4 installed. That's what it recommends so that is what I have.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Coolant question??

I thought about that too, but since using stock rad, and having no issues with the green stuff, sticking with it
