1956 grill ideas
Trying to figure out what to do for a grill on my pickup. 56 chevy.
i installed an intercooler and had to remove the vertical and horizontal bars from the factory grill. Ive seen the aftermarket billet ones and its hard to tell where they sit in the opening (are they flush with the outside of the grill assembly or are they recessed). Or I'm open to other ideas as well.. |

Re: 1956 grill ideas
I prefer a stock grill over any other, so I'd suggest relocating the inter cooler. And because you don't have a '56 hood ornament anyway, any chance you could consider using a GMC hood with the big opening up above and relocate the intercooler to that location?

Re: 1956 grill ideas
What about a 2 ton grille from a 55-57. Paint the intercooler black. Not sure how much room you have......There is a pic of a 57 burb with this grill I saw on here somewhere.....

Re: 1956 grill ideas
It's gonna have to stay where it's at, or it will be a poor performing intercooler. I had thought about gmc hood, but I won't be able to maximize airflow through the fins.
