Raw gas smell

When I fuel up the burb, I have a raw gas smell until I run it about 10 miles. When I owned it 8 years ago and drove it everyday, I never had this problem. It now has a reconditioned fuel tank, new sender and all new hoses. The only thing original and not changed is the fuel cap. Any ideas? Jim
