The worst thing about not owning a 60-66.....

Trading one for a 1946 Suburban and having that lonely feeling that there is no activity on that side of the forum lol.

The Orange truck was traded for this nut n bolt body off restoration complete with new engine trans and rr ends out of a 55 Chevy.

Works out better than a truck for us and the dogs. Dont have to play rock paper scissors who sits in the truck when we stop at the store with the dogs in the back. They just hang out with the windows down in a locked rig.

Re: The worst thing about not owning a 60-66.....

I think it was a great trade. And your still here too!!!

The 46 is a great looking suburban and looks just as clean as your truck was. And maybe we'll see you with another 60-66 build in the futrure

You are in the lands that the truck gods blessed with good trucks so to me it looks like time to find a new project. Your new ride is sweet.

I know what you mean about hanging out in forums where nothing happens. But that was a fantastic trade in my opinion. I don't remember ever seeing a 46 in that body style before. That thing is beautiful and I can appreciate the practicality.

Re: The worst thing about not owning a 60-66.....

Thanks guys!

Yes, RARE! I had never seen one in person and was drop jawed for 2 hrs when I first saw it. I haven't driven anything else since last Tuesday night when I picked it up with less than 20 miles on it. I have changed the oil ( from sitting), clean and adjusted the rear brakes, added drain tubes for the windshield channel and some little nut and bolt stuff that was overlooked with 3 people finishing it.

Plans are to drive it and eventually LS power it

Re: The worst thing about not owning a 60-66.....

1955 full pressure 235 with remote spin on, 3 speed manual and a 55 car rear end all completely overhauled. Runs like a swiss watch.

On the hunt for an overdrive 3 speed with cable/handle and carb solonoid or a T5 as a temporary solution for 70 mph until I can stack the account for an LS swap. It will comfortably do 55-60, but gets angry at higher speeds.
