header opinions
I am in the process of planning my 5.3 swap into my 72 SWB. I am looking at the doug Thorley 323ys and the kooks trailblazer ss headers, the 1 3/4 version. I like the idea of the kooks because they are stainless and I believe the appearance would be maintained for longer then the DT's. Other concerns are the compatibility of others parts such as the dipstick and shift linkage. I know the lokar items work with the DT's. Idk if they would be compatible with the kooks. I only plan on a couple of mild upgrades in the future. Maybe a mild cam, so performance edge I would believe go to the kooks being its not a tri-y design. Any thoughts or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Re: header opinions
Mine are Pacesetters TB ss headers. I am also using the Lokar trans shift linkage rod. It fits and works great.

Re: header opinions
I am considering the 1 7/8's doug thorleys vs the 1 3/4 kooks TBSS headers. Does anyone think there will be disappointment with the Tri Ys or that 1 7/8s is too much for a cammed 2007 5.3?

Re: header opinions
Well it looks like I'll be going with the Gibson swap headers. 1 3/4" primary's, stainless and coated. Seems like the best alternative and at a great price as well. $549 from summit.
