Hiding in plain sight
Was visiting my favorite propane dealer last week and what do I see sitting next to the office, a 66 short fleet. I've been here so many times walked right by it and never seen it. But when I did see it I went right in and found what was up with it.
The truck has been sitting there for 10 year. Some one dropped it of to have some work done and never came back. The gas station owner was happy to sale it to me |

Re: Hiding in plain sight
He twisted my arm and got 500. The interior needs a seat covered and one door Handel is missing but it comes with an extra door with all the part I need. If I can get it running by Saturday going to put it in a car show as a barn find.

Re: Hiding in plain sight
I was afraid that the motor might be locked up, so I pulled the plugs and squirted transmission fluid into each piston then let it sit for acouple days. I then rocked the truck back and forth in high gear, shazam it's turning over now. I haven't tried to start it yet. I want to change the oil first.
Is there anything I might to do before the first start in 10 years? |
