Saginaw 3speed teardown
I'm trying to take this transmission apart and I am stuck. I have a feeling that the snap ring shown in the picture is my next obstacle but I cannot get it to release the shaft from the tail shaft. Anyone know what the trick is?

Re: Saginaw 3speed teardown
Ok I'm stuck again. I'm trying to get the output shaft out of the case. Can someone tell me what the nut is on the right and how to get it off? Is this the path to take to get the other gears off of the shaft so I can take it out? Thanks for any help.
