Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
What are you guys using for gas pedal linkage on Edelbrock 4bbls? I want to use my stock V8 linkage, but its not plug and play. I had a stock linkage setup on my truck years ago, but must have lost some parts.

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
I used the stock threaded arm and barrel nut. The fit was loose so I used a small rubber grommet between the link and quick clip.

Anyone have a close up pic of their setup? My throw seems too long...

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
I tried all day to get the pictures to download all day. It is a Holley but same set up was on the Edelbrock. First shot is the firewall side, 2nd is the rubber grommet and quick clip on the backside of linkage, last is side view.

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
ok that's interesting, I noticed your crank arm is pretty close to the intake manifold. I thought it needed to be higher. Maybe I will be ok then, thanks for the pics

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
I found the factory linkage too short for an Edelbrock 1405 on a 1" phenolic spacer. I used a piece of 1/4-28 all thread and Mr. Gasket ball/socket ends with jam nuts. Part #3811G on Summit.
EZ to set up and the ball ends pop-off if you need to disconnect linkage. I used heat shrink tubing over the threaded rod to hide the threads and keep it from discoloring. Looks slick and works great. Infinitely adjustable too. |

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
Thanks for the response guys. I decided to make a proper length rod as the one I have is too long for some reason. How long is the stock V8 rod? Total overall length? I think mine is like 11"

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
12" total. Elbow to thread end. About 11.5" center to center. Stock 283 link.

Re: Edelbrock 4bbl gas pedal link?
I bought a round stock 1/4" with Mr. Gasket linkage bushings. Works great with the v-8 throttle lever...
