Tbi to Carb bbc
If switching from a factory tbi setup to carb on a 87 454 bbc, would I have to use a new cam to work with a mechanical fuel pump? I know I would have to change distributor, and add the mech. pump, is there any other changes/ parts to swap?

Re: Tbi to Carb bbc
Head over to the 454SS website, quite a few of those guys have done the swap
I'm going the other way with a tow rig, I want to run a 4L80E and switching to TBI is the easiest way. |

use the electric pump, that's in the tank right now, but use a regulator to lower the fuel psi use a return style rehulator

X2 on using the electric pump with a regulator. If this is the next generation BBC, it wont even have the provison to mount a mechanical pump.
