Dropmember big block headers?
I've searched but can't find any info on anyone with a dropmember with a big block with answers on what headers are being used. I'm curious if the dropmember will raise a 454 up high enough to let some mid length headers sit high enough for the frame to lay on a c30. Any header info would be appreciated.

Re: Dropmember big block headers?
Try mid length headers for an a-body.
They fit well in the OE configuration & tuck above the lower rails w/the motor in the stock location. PB's set-up will raise the motor slightly from that point so it's a matter of firewall & steering linkage clearance from that point.

Re: Dropmember big block headers?
So I went with a pair of Flowtech shorty headers to avoid any issue that may arise but not I'm getting a little clearance issue with one of the pipes on both sides getting hung up on the crossmember near the frame. Looks like I have about 3/16" of clearancing that I need to make up to get them to fit without touching. I know the dropmember is suppose to bring the engine up but I'm not installing mine yet because of other parts thats needed.
So should I heat the pipes up and bang them in a little or should I grind on the frame/crossmember to get the clearance???? Forgot to take pics of the headers binding at the frame
