rear body mount bolt HELP!!
hey guys ive been messing around with this for ages and came to seek help from someone that has experienced this. i had to cut the head off the bolt to remove my cab , the bolt just spins freely and will not loosen, it is the rear passenger bolt. i noticed on the other side that the nut inside floats and is not welded to the inside of the crossmember. what is the best way to fix this !? strange thing is that the bolt is a fraction of a fraction of an inch from comming out ! HELP!

Re: rear body mount bolt HELP!!
I had to cut a hole in my floor tooull it out, and weld it back down. I welded a new nut, then tacked bars to the nut in case the nut itself welds i'm still ok.

Re: rear body mount bolt HELP!!
I think im going to cut holes with a hole saw go gain access through the floor and just plug them with plastic plugs , that way i can get at them in the future and it works as access for paint and later oil

Re: rear body mount bolt HELP!!
Make sure ya rebolt it later after it's all said n done. Otherwise you get cab roll and movement, both of which are bad.

Re: rear body mount bolt HELP!!
You will likely need to drill a hole in the floor to gain access topside.
I sprayed my cab bolts from underneath every other day for about a year and a half before I gambled and took them out. I was lucky - nothing broke - but I am not in Ontario (sad grin).
