Cooling system flush

Quick question, what do you guys recommend when installing a new radiator. I want to flush the cooling system and heater core but don't really care about flushing the old radiator since it's getting replaced. Should I just flush the cooling system with the old radiator still in or can I just drain the system and run a hose to the upper radiator hose and flush the motor that way? Thanks.

Re: Cooling system flush

I would flush with the old radiator until the water was clear, then I would drain, install new radiator, fill with 50/50 antifreeze and water. My thought process is I wouldnt want any old stuff from the block coming into my new radiator, so get everything clean prior to installing the new one. Good luck.
