1986 gmc
last year I converted my 86 GMC with a 350 to TBI and it runs like crap. I went and put new tank units in it with the fuel pumps so that every thing was the way it should be but again runs like crap.I am now converting it back to a Carb. Can I use the fuel pumps that are in the tanks and just use a pressure regulator to cut the pressure back or do I need go back to the old style fuel pump. If I can use a regulator am I going to get into any headaches? If I go back to the old style engine run pump will it run thru the tank unit with changing any thing?

Re: 1986 gmc
yes, you can use a return style regulator with the tbi in tank fuel pump. I used a mallory 4309 when I converted my 87 from tbi to carb.
