64 gmc gas tank brackets
I moved my gas tank to inside the rails and now working on the inside of my cab is it fine to just remove the old gas tank brackets?

Re: 64 gmc gas tank brackets
I don't see an issue with removing them but some say they prefer to keep them in place to add support to the rear wall of the cab. I have also seen them trimmed down to a slimmer profile. They are spot welded to the floor and the back of the cab. Keep in mind that they also contain the captured nut for your rear cab mount bolt.

Re: 64 gmc gas tank brackets
I just trimmed them down since they are the rear cab bolts.
