81-87 clear marker lights?
Anyone know where to find them at? Not the LMC lights with the amber square.

Thanks for the reply. Those aren't completely clear either but my friend pointed me to a place that just started making them! https://www.facebook.com/randrcustomtrucklighting

Why not just shave them? Clear or none, both are illegal.

Re: 81-87 clear marker lights?
I don't want to shave them. I'll just run and amber bulb. No worse than all the euro lights on everything these days.

Re: 81-87 clear marker lights?
Yellow bulbs will not make it legal. It must have an amber reflective area so if the bulb is blown it can still be seen in the dark when headlights shine on it. No lens isn't as obvious as a clear one.
It was just a suggestion. I don't need extra reasons to get pulled over.

Not I. I had considered shaving mine but didn't really feel like it at the time I was welding panels.

Fine with me... For half the price all the parts are the same either way! I don't mind saving a few bucks when necessary. Might help me pay for the ticket I'm gonna get according to some!

With these trucks being as old as they are most cops don't know if its factory or not.And i don't see a cop pulling you over for it but might tack it on if your a jerk and hes got you on other things.

Re: 81-87 clear marker lights?
That's true, so many things change all the time it's hard to keep track...Amber wasn't required for tail lights, then it was, now it's not again.

Re: 81-87 clear marker lights?
Not sure if your state requires safety inspections, but I know here is Texas that is the type of stuff they check in a safety inspection, and it may not pass with the clear side marker lens, but there is nothing say you can't change them out before the inspection, and then change them back after it passes.

Re: 81-87 clear marker lights?
Not much you can do about the clear sidemarkers, but with the clear tail lights, you just need to put some red reflective tape or reflectors on the rear of the truck and you are legal!
