DBC vs DBW. Pros & cons
Opportunity may present itself in the way of a lien vehicle and while I had convinced myself I would tackle a dbw setup I think this one is DBC.
The only real big deal that isn't that big if a deal is cruise control is way easier on a dbw from what I gather. So what else? Price is going to make it tough to walk away from this one but if I am better off dbw then I can wait. |

Re: DBC vs DBW. Pros & cons
The rest of its benefits come in the way of programability by a good tuner. You can make functional changes to pedal sweep, input to output mapping etc.

You also can pick up a JY DBC cruise module pretty cheap. It's not that much harder to setup.

Re: DBC vs DBW. Pros & cons
It's a wash.... Neither is that hard, cruise control isn't hard on either.

Re: DBC vs DBW. Pros & cons
I'd vouch for DBW with the added benefit of being able to really customize the mounting position and angle of the pedal.

Re: DBC vs DBW. Pros & cons
Well if the mileage is descent on this rig and I can get it for a price that I think I can I'm not going to let this be an issue cause I can recoup enough money parting out the rest to help wash some costs.
Then I can figure out the cruise control and other things |
