Any one seen a vacuum brakes auto pedal assembly with return spring?
My previous problems with not being able to get my alternator to charge got me chasing wires trying to find the issue. In the process of doing this I realized the wire was broken at the ignition switch on the column. The cause of this was the return spring on the brake pedal catching the wire. There was a shiny spot on the spring. What is weird about this is my truck never had hydroboost which is the only trucks I have seen with a return spring on the brake pedal. My plans are to remove it if it appears it shouldn't be there.

I had a vacuum hydraulic assy with a return spring. I'm pretty sure it wasn't tampered with.

Re: Any one seen a vacuum brakes auto pedal assembly with return spring?
I looked at my 85 and it didn't have a return spring. Guess I need to look at my parts books. Thanks for the input!
