1984 K20 Dually Conversion Questions
We got this farm truck last year and it already had 1 ton Dually hubs and wheels on the rear but the front is still running SRW type wheels. I would like to swap the fronts out so I only have to carry one spare instead of 2. Being a 4WD I am not sure how hard or easy it would be to put Dually hubs onto it. Any help would be very appreciated, thanks!

Re: 1984 K20 Dually Conversion Questions
The only way I can think of the make it work and keep 4wd is to swap out the front axle with a Dana 60. 84 should be a 10 bolt front and components are all different between the two axles. Now though I just sold my dually wheels to a guy that had a 95 2500 that he put a dually kit on but he said they use ford hubs that bolted to the front. Fords are lug centric and gm wheels don't fit them so you would be stuck with a different wheel again and I'm not sure how the stock hubs would fit through the center of the adapter hubs. So as far as I know hunt down a 60 front, if you find a srw front axle you can change it to a drw by swapping out the hubs/rotors but has to be a 60 to start with.
