Find out a 64C10 need advice from you guys!!

Hey all! I'm Massimo from Italy, it's been some month that I'm looking for a nice c10 to buy and bring it to italy, due to time and finding parts over here I'm looking to find one that will be almost done the way I want it, so a bagged to the ground one, v8 automatic with disck brake.. I'm browsing ebay.usa for months even before selling my 65fury but no one on 20k € budgwet will suit my need. Yesterday this happen, I find one near Berlin, Germany that is also lot more easy o import than from usa obviously. Now the seller send me description and I would like to share with you and know what you think, did it sound a good deal? price is 18500€ maybe something less if we talk seriously.. bring one from Usa will be 4/5000 just for tax duty and shipping or more..
here's some pics and a list the owner send to me.. I wait for your advice, and cant wait to have one

Re: Find out a 64C10 need advice from you guys!!

Looking at the paperwork info, sounds like some very good quality parts were used in the build. Truck looks great but site unseen is always a risk. Given the cost to ship one over, it sounds like this is a very good value, if it's what you are looking for.

Good luck and welcome to the forum!!!

BE CAREFUL! This could be a scam. That truck was forum member c10addict's truck and was sold awhile back here in the states. Don't know where it went, but do your research before sending any money.

Re: Find out a 64C10 need advice from you guys!!

Lots of cars from over here end up in Europe. My 69 Camaro did. Truck in the pics has what look like German plates on it. Knowing the truck came from a member here will make it easier to see how it was built if there is a thread on it. I say hop on a train and go take a look. It's a good price if that is the style you are looking for.

Look up and send a message to "c10addict" here on this site. Or check out the truck in the (60-66 trucks for sale) section. It's an old ad, but it's still there to see. Good luck!

Non sono sicuro su un camion ribassato del genere , ma il mio camion ho il 225/15 di e non ha il potere di governo , ed è molto facile da guidare , a condizione che i pneumatici sono gonfiati

Re: Find out a 64C10 need advice from you guys!!

Here I'm again guys, I'm still debating if buy or not this c10 from berlin, been in contact with the owner and final price will be in the order of 17000 € (20k $)
Pros are: it's a big windows, already bagged (even if the rear isnt "on the ground" as I like) seem good motor, power brakes, fleetside short bed
Cons are: it isnt exactly in very good shape as for rust, I dont really like this bench seat and it isnt easy to find other here.
Unfortunately taking a look at delmo's build ruin my life, I dream about one of this pieces of art, do you guys have an idea of how much will build one that way? approx obviously, is just to have an idea if I could wait and save more and maybe build a nice one or buy this one and maybe work on it in the future..
Any suggestion is much apreciated!

If I were you, I would search out a good basic truck, the kind you want, here in the states...barter a good price, many guys have vehicles they just want to get rid of so will drop the price especially if it needs to be restored and/or they need the space so don't be afraid to give low-ball offers to these guys.
(stock, basic, rebuildable trucks with minor rust can still be had easily and this can be done through pictures from the owner if he is motivated to sell)
Then contract with one of the dependable shops and/or mechanics here on the site to do the work you want to the truck. All the "ifs" and "worries" are minimized and you have the truck you want in a condition that will be dependable for you for a long time. There is a guy (Bhelton) on the site who is on the East Coast, North Carolina I believe, that has done some good work I have seen in build threads here on the site who you may consider to do the work for you and the truck can be shipped to Europe easily from there and may just fit the same price you will pay for that rust bucket in Germany.
Also, I have had better luck on Craigslist than Fleecebay for truck deals!
