Re: Truck wont start at an angle

This is a very interesting problem.
Please please tell us what year truck you have and what carb with may be a picture of the carb.

It is easy to add the signature just click on -
User CP
Then click on -
Edit Signature - located in the left hand column.
Then put your trucks information in the box.
Then click save.

I just updated my signature and added more information so others can help me without having to ask what trick I have.
Having a signature should be mandatory for any automotive forum.

Re: Truck wont start at an angle

I think I might have figured it out , the accelerator pump rod was not returning to the up position I noticed it when we were rebuilding the carb but did not think anything of it until the problems arose .

Does yours have an electronic Q-jet with a Throttle Position Sensor?

There is no T.P.S. but it has an electrical connector on the top left front of the carb with two wires .

Re: Truck wont start at an angle

If you have a electrical connector on the passenger side top front you should have a TPS on the drivers side front top and face of the carb.
The black TPS plunger will give you fits when you try to put the top (air horn) back on the carb.

Does any one have a picture like this that shows all of the drivers side front corner including the TPS electrical plug?
