Strangest things found in new project dashes
I could not find another thread on weird stuff found inserted in the dashes on these projects when found and brought home. I am not sure if this will show up very good but this 3/4 ton pickup I hauled to my property yesterday actually had a nice dash cluster but on the left side had an altimeter. Never have I ever seen one in any truck, nor do I have any idea why. What was originally in the third large hole on the left?

Yeah, no kidding. He must have liked making those little plastic strips to remind him what every knob and switch were for.

Re: Strangest things found in new project dashes
3rd hole on the left was for an air pressure gauge on the big trucks, or sometimes a vacuum gauge.

Re: Strangest things found in new project dashes
Cool. I was wondering what was there. I thought it might be a clock hole or something but the pressure gauge makes more sense.

Adam West would have been proud to have that 'Bat-O-Meter'.
