Factory paint pics
Looking for 1960 c10 pics with tartan turquoise factory paint. Also does anyone know what the factory color that was used for the accent for that year...was it pure white or Bombay ivory?
My 60 is going to paint and would like to get it done with original colors factory paint colors. Big thanks for any help! |

Re: Factory paint pics
Jon this is a big help. Do you happen to know anything about cross referencing the old paint codes to today's paint manufacture paint codes. The body shop that is painting my truck is having problems finding the Bombay Ivory. I think they mentioned they use PPG paint.

Re: Factory paint pics
hey guys since we are on the topic of paint specifics, what color are the nostrils and grille (if it wasn't chromed)? are they the Bombay Ivory as well? and Jonzcustomshop does that truck only have the bombay on back of the cab because it is custom cab and has the trim to split it? I thought that only the roofs and below the body line on the sides was supposed to be bombay...

no I think you could get the cab 2 tone without the trim... the trim (grille, bumpers, nostrils,) were Bombay ivory, except for the pure white truck, then they were pure white. it is hard to find- it is notated with the * under the Bombay ivory paint chip.....
