Newbie here with a few questions

Hello all i have a 1978 k20 with a mid 80's front clip and i was wondering what to do about a front a bumper ?? Will a 78 style bumper match up to a 86 front?? Im fixing up the truck so i want to keep it original as possible..Thanks

What bumper does it have on it now? I think only the 70's style fits on the 70's frame, with the 80's style/80's frame. I'm no expert tho......

The LMC Truck catalog shows 3 different year ranges for front bumpers:

73-80
81-82
83-87

Looks like brackets and braces are the same for all 73-80 trucks. Same is true for 81-87 trucks.

1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.

u cant put a 73-80 bumper on a 81-87 frame cause the front frame horns are diff u would have to cut them to make it...jus use the mid 80s bumper since u have the mid 60s front clip...if u use the 73-80 bumper it wont be origina looking that ur going for.
