GMC 305 4 barrel intake
Did GMC ever make a four barrel intake that would bolt on instead of the two barrel. I know a guy with a 65 Suburban that wants to convert it to two strombergs mounted on a four barrel intake.

Re: GMC 305 4 barrel intake
no 4 brl manifolds. a common current upgrade is to put a 500 holley 2 barrel on them. inquire at the 6066 GMC site

Re: GMC 305 4 barrel intake
No 4 barrel intake...though I'm sure you could adapt a 4 barrel to the 2 barrel intake using trans-adapt. Kind of a waist though....but the biggest thing was a 500 cfm holley 2 barrel.

Re: GMC 305 4 barrel intake
ERL on this site adapted a quadrajet to the two barrel intake. Another guy on the 6066GMC site did the same for an Edelbrock.
So you can probably open it up enough to adapt this Elco 2 two-barrel intake adapter for the demon carbs or whatever others he may have in mind.

Re: GMC 305 4 barrel intake
http://6066gmcguy.com/holley.html is for the 500 holley setup. you may find by google how to modify the manifold for a 4 barrel as it has been done as above but the was another showing the steps. it was by a member of 6066 . if you post the question over there , I am sure that you will get a response

Re: GMC 305 4 barrel intake
You would have to dig in the archives on 60-66 site to find the threads but pretty much like the pics already posted you can take the big 2 barrel intake and have it machined to accept a 4 barrel then add a throttle body for efi.

Re: GMC 305 4 barrel intake
He wants to mount dual Stombergs. Asked me to start looking for an another intake so he can preserve the original. He'll modify another so the Stombergs are spread apart and higher up than the Speedway adapter.
