Front Drop Springs
I want to install my new 3 inch front drop springs tomorrow as I've installed the rear 5 inch drop ones today, and would like to have suspension out of the way.
Can I remove the front springs with spring compressors, without taking apart the control arms? If so, will compressors be enough? I would like to make this a day job, take olds out put news in and get rolling all in the same day. Is that possible?

Re: Front Drop Springs
I popped the uca off and lowered the lower control arm a spindle down and they came right out. Install new spring and jack lca and spindle back up and you are good.

Re: Front Drop Springs
Like he said.
But there is NO way to remove the spring without separating one of the ball joints. With motor in the truck, you shouldn't need compressor to get the stock spring out. And I had no problems putting a 2" lower spring IN without a compressor.
