Is this fire wall color factory
Is this factory paint on this fire wall. The truck is dark green. And the fire wall is a tan color this is 2 owner truck with only 42000 actual miles and suppose to be all original paint. 1964 model just want to make sure the color on fire wall is all original. Thanks for any help, I attached a picture I hope it worked.

Re: Is this fire wall color factory
Every one that I have seen is either the exterior color or the interior color (Fawn). That does not look like Fawn and does not look like the body color either, or is it just the camera? The firewall does appear to have been painted at the factory though. Is there any evidence that it could have been re-painted green? What is the paint code on the left kick panel plate? Dark Green should be 505.

It's been painted, look at the rubber that the fan switch wire comes through, and the insulation pad bushing, they have been painted.

Agreed, it does not look right. Valve cover isn't the right blue either.

Re: Is this fire wall color factory
I agree that it's been repainted....bolt heads painted too.
In addition to the wrong blue on the valve cover, an HEI distributor has been added. If you look at the firewall under the inner fenders, you will find the original firewall color.

Re: Is this fire wall color factory
Already covered but +1 this is definitely repainted.
- Bolt heads painted - Heater wire grommet painted over When I enlarge the photo it just looks like the PO repainted the firewall when they redid the engine... might have even changed the engine given the off-color cover and HEI upgrade. Also unless the truck has been in your family this whole time it may be a long shot that those are original miles.
