1962 GMC 4000 on GovDeals (central Ga)
Don't usually put stuff like this on here but don't see many of the big trucks around anymore. Not sure if it would be a 305 or 351 V6.

Light , Medium and Heavy Duty could all be ordered with a Panoramic Rear Window.
Interesting black cover on the floor beside the seat.

Would be a good parts truck for someone.
Wouldn't mind it myself, if it were close by and cheap enough. Bill

Re: 1962 GMC 4000 on GovDeals (central Ga)
The valve covers and exhaust manifolds give this one away. The only other valve covers that are similar to those came on a 409. The exhaust manifolds were exclusive to the V6.
Here is a shot of one all dressed up. |

Re: 1962 GMC 4000 on GovDeals (central Ga)
your thinking 348 and 409....... 305/351 have the same valve covers and 348/409 use the same covers but a 351/305 cover wont fit a 348/409 see post #25 here for what a 409 cover looks like http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=303027 as for the manifold you may be right as being 351

Wow. Total brain fart on my part. Pays to actually read and understand instead of just breasing through. Telling the difference between the 305 and 351 V6 would definitely be difficult.
